I had a Garmin GPS map60 before and was always losing signal in tree cover. Haven’t had that problem since I got the 60 CSx. Most of the features are the same exept for the compass and the altimeter. Color is nice also. Worth the extra money.

On a 2,000 mile trip over 5 states, there were two minor incidents of Garmin not knowing where we were. This was very short lived, and we were easily able to continue our navigation until the Garmin caught up. Good long battery life and the windshield mount was very effective. I purchased the RGM-3800 for geotaging my photos. It works great for this purpose. I use the www.locr.com software for reading the nmea files that come from the data logger and applying them to the photos and it works very well. The battery last five or six hours - so I can make it last all daqy if I turn it off when I am not using for a while. It comes with a spot to tie it to a jacket or something. Great product.
