I bought this watch as I am training for my first marathon. It is fantastic. You can change the screen on the watch to what information you need: time, pace per mile, distance, etc.
You must turn it on a few minutes before you need to use it so it has time to locate the satellites. Other than that, everything is great. I think the size of this watch is more for a man than a woman.

OK, I am used to hiking with Green Trail maps for Washington State. I was hoping that this product would be to their level, or heck even more current. But no way, I pulled up areas I go to frequently and the maps are not even close to he quality of the green trail maps. Which is very sad considering google earth does a better job than this software and it is free.
For all you techies who rated this product highly get grip, paper maps dominate this product. GPS software is not even close to the quality of a paper map. Also, if I wanted to do all of this electronic file manipualtion that other users speak of why even buy a GPS unit. The point is I wanted something superior to old out of date paper maps and instead of that got “new” electronic maps that are worthless.

I had a Garmin GPS map60 before and was always losing signal in tree cover. Haven’t had that problem since I got the 60 CSx. Most of the features are the same exept for the compass and the altimeter. Color is nice also. Worth the extra money.

Works like a charm. I was ready to get a new palm since I lost my original charger over six months ago, then I found this.

This was the cheapest GPS I could find for sale. I have seen some random blow out specials slightly lower, but they are of an inferior product. I bought the refurbished version of this GPS. The maps are over a year old when you get it and even if you register you do not get a free update. I used it to travel and found it invaluable. Quick satellite communication and fast recalculations (for when you miss your turn anyway). The suction cup is amazingly strong. This is an older unit and is a little bulky. Given for $30 more you can get a thinner 4.3″ unit I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5, if it were cheaper or thinner or a larger screen it would be a 5.

I did a bit of research before buying the nuvi 260W. It’s so simple to use - just plug in and go. I used it the first time for a 250 mile trip. Directions were clear, concise, accurate and repeated several times before I need to make a turn. It gives me confidence when I travel. All I have to do is put the address and go and don’t have to be the least bit concerned that I’ll get lost.

Encouraged by the first reviewer’s feedback , I had planned to use it on my car ( a 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante). After I received it from amazon, I was very surprised to discover that there is no assembly instructions for the product. It took me a while to figure it out and assemble it. What is much worse, however, is that this mount, although it claims that it can “mount virtually anything anywhere”, is a total joke because there is nothing to fix the base plate to the dashboard. No matter what positions I tried on my dashboard, it kept on rolling all over the place. I tried to call the customer service number and email the customer service. There was no response. I will return it to amazon and please avoid this if you intend to use it in a car.
