The Magellan Maestro 4210 is a decent, low cost GPS with just enough features to be functional for my basic needs. This GPS does not have a lot of the bells and whistles found on some of the higher-end units, but it isn’t prices like them either.
Here are my observations:
* Very simple to configure and setup, with easy to use and intuitive menus.
* Has a large and clear display, but it does become hard to see in bright sunlight.
* Accurate maps for our area, but we live in a fairly rural area where there aren’t many new roads.
* Clearly spoken directions that are given in an appropriate amount of time (but my daughter said the female voice sounds “Cranky”).
This is a good basic GPS that meets our needs, Recommended!

I did a bit of research before buying the nuvi 260W. It’s so simple to use - just plug in and go. I used it the first time for a 250 mile trip. Directions were clear, concise, accurate and repeated several times before I need to make a turn. It gives me confidence when I travel. All I have to do is put the address and go and don’t have to be the least bit concerned that I’ll get lost.

I was pleased with the quality of this product. The product performs as advertised. Well made. Leather feels and looks smooth. Clip is sturdy. Have not had any problems with it. I did not give it five stars only because I wish I could move the antenna on my Mio 168 without having to take the unit out of the case. I also wish there was a way to close (lock) the case with a wi-fi card in the unit. The card sticks out of the unit a few milimiters, so if you lock the case it will put pressure on the card and may make it pop out.

They don’t tell you when you pay $$$ for this little unit that it does not work until you get it out of the box, hook it up and then you have to cough up another $40 for an “annual membership upgrade”. You cannot download one GPS course unless you do this. The so-called “Free Membership” is worthless. So you end up having to pay almost $200. Better off to have bought a scope. This is like someone selling you the razor and then when you want blades, they failed to mention that would be extra. Suggest reading the fine print…but there wasn’t any.

I had to replace my old GPS and went with this one. Took it out on a day of Geocaching and it was right on. Better then my old Garmin GPS. Yes the screen does kind of suck in the sun but all the other features out way the screen. Ive used it at work too and found it easy to use while driving and getting from point A to point B is great. I recommend a 4g card for the unit and it is more then enough space for this. The topographic maps are great too.

Had them all, from the $800 GPS to the $100 GPS. I don’t advocate spending a lot of money on a GPS..Point A to Point B is all I look for. This seemed like a good deal, seemed being the key word. Spend a little more, and get one that works right out of the box….Every bad review you have read, is true…The firmware update did nothing….but add frustration.. Even on clearance, pass this one by…

On a 2,000 mile trip over 5 states, there were two minor incidents of Garmin not knowing where we were. This was very short lived, and we were easily able to continue our navigation until the Garmin caught up. Good long battery life and the windshield mount was very effective. Overall, it made a road trip very enjoyable.
