Service is awful. The maps on their ads are full page. In reality, they are tiny little things on the web sight. Device is flimsy. The device breaks very easly…. And if you decide to cancel they will charge you $100.
Read the small print. Once this company has you they won’t let go.
The only reason there are good comments here on Amazon. Is because the company offered people a free months service if they left a good comment on here. That should tell you alot about these people.

I bought the product for a trip I am taking and feel the POI’s are more up to date than on my GPS but I like the GPS feel and convenience more. The product is as advertised and definitely worth what I paid for it on Amazon since it included its own GPS.

Having owned, used, and been extremely pleased with the eTrex Vista C for a number of years, I was a bit disturbed by needing to purchase a new upgraded unit to take advantage of maps of New Zealand (live in USA). However, I was totally surprised by features advertised, but irrelevant to my upgrade purchase: the Vista HCx’s dramatically improved sensitivity and seemingly resultant improved accuracy. I went heli-skiing in New Zealand with the HCx zipped up in a pocket of my ski jacket to record my tracks. Track accuracy for my skiing as displayed on Google Earth was phenomenal, much better than anything I had seen with my Vista C. Using the old Vista C inside a vehicle, I had to keep the unit on the dash with a view of the sky through the windshield to maintain lock on the satellites and hence my location and track. The Vista HCx maintains track with good accuracy continuously sitting on the lap of a passenger inside a vehicle. This helps tremendously when you need a passenger to help with navigation in a city with which you are not familiar (both the Vista HCx and Vista C can be used for city navigation, but they are optimized operationally for trail use).
So, if you have been happy with the Vista C, and it is a few years old, you probably will find an upgrade to the Vista HCx well worth it, especially with the prices you can get through Amazon. Any maps you had for the Vista C will work with the Vista HCx, and you can use all the NT (New Technology) maps now available and supported by Garmin. I have really enjoyed both the better sensitivity and increased storage (2 Gbytes on a micro-SD card - <$10 now) for maps with the HCx. Nothing appears to have changed operationally between the two units, so there is nothing new to learn to use the new HCx. Interestingly however, the software seems to have improved in efficiency. An upgrade that is worth it.

Navigon has an MSRP of $19.99 and is selling it direct from their website. Not sure where amazon gets the $39.99 MSRP.

Encouraged by the first reviewer’s feedback , I had planned to use it on my car ( a 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante). After I received it from amazon, I was very surprised to discover that there is no assembly instructions for the product. It took me a while to figure it out and assemble it. What is much worse, however, is that this mount, although it claims that it can “mount virtually anything anywhere”, is a total joke because there is nothing to fix the base plate to the dashboard. No matter what positions I tried on my dashboard, it kept on rolling all over the place. I tried to call the customer service number and email the customer service. There was no response. I will return it to amazon and please avoid this if you intend to use it in a car.

Foolish me. I originally tried to order a Deluo 31-311-01 USB GPS for Laptop directly from the company. For some reason, it was back ordered. But the company never told me — I only found out because after waiting for some time for an email with a tracking number, I finally went back to their site, and there they were, those dreaded words, “Back Ordered.” And of course, no one at that company had a clue as to when it might ship. So I turned to trusty Amazon, and had it in my hand a couple of days later.
The Deluo 31-311-01 USB GPS for Laptop itself works great once you figure a couple of things out. First, the software is a little funky. If you plug the unit into the computer before booting, the touch pad goes nuts, and you lose all control over the computer. It becomes necessary to do a hard reboot just to regain control over the computer. So make sure to plug the GPS into the computer AFTER the computer is finished booting and after you launch Streets or whatever program you use.
The unit sometimes takes a few minutes to find the sats, but more often than not, it connects very quickly. And it’s very accurate. Even zoomed in as tight as Streets will go, it puts me on the proper side of an intersection.
If you are in an urban canyon surrounded by tall buildings, it sometimes has a little trouble getting an exact position, but this may be due to the sat’s signal bouncing off the buildings.
All in all, a good unit. But buy it from Amazon, and save yourself some grief.

I ordered this based off the picture and when I got it I realized it was the wrong one, so I sent it back and when I looked at the one I needed they had the picture for this model! Amazon needs to switch the pictures around to reflect the actual model you’re ordering!
