I bought this phone when my upgrade for verizon was up. i did lots of research and was between the omnia and the blackberry storm. all of the reviews said that the omnia was the better pick, soo i bought it. The omnia is a phone that is meant for use with a stylus not thumbs. Windows mobile lagged quite a bit… so much to the point that i just had to cancel what i was doing to unfreeze it. the accelerometer( turning thing) can get quite annoying. I am a very big texter…. and this is not a texting phone i found myself dreading having to type on it. luckily i had a thirty day grace period and if i didnt like the phone i could return it, which i did and i bought the storm. And i love it. it is so much more user friendly, you can set almost everything to the way you like it.
in conclusion…. if you are looking for a touch phone like the iphone…. skip the omnia and go straight to the storm, with its facebook and flicker built in applications the omnia doesnt compare.

The Magellan Maestro 4210 is a decent, low cost GPS with just enough features to be functional for my basic needs. This GPS does not have a lot of the bells and whistles found on some of the higher-end units, but it isn’t prices like them either.
Here are my observations:
* Very simple to configure and setup, with easy to use and intuitive menus.
* Has a large and clear display, but it does become hard to see in bright sunlight.
* Accurate maps for our area, but we live in a fairly rural area where there aren’t many new roads.
* Clearly spoken directions that are given in an appropriate amount of time (but my daughter said the female voice sounds “Cranky”).
This is a good basic GPS that meets our needs, Recommended!

Just 2 years later, this newer GARMIN is much better, faster and works right out of the box! No software to load. Re-maps almost instantly. Touch screen is easy to see. Simple to use and the price is in line with the features. Why pay a much higher price for stuff you don’t need and obviously won’t use. No overkill here!

OK, I am used to hiking with Green Trail maps for Washington State. I was hoping that this product would be to their level, or heck even more current. But no way, I pulled up areas I go to frequently and the maps are not even close to he quality of the green trail maps. Which is very sad considering google earth does a better job than this software and it is free.
For all you techies who rated this product highly get grip, paper maps dominate this product. GPS software is not even close to the quality of a paper map. Also, if I wanted to do all of this electronic file manipualtion that other users speak of why even buy a GPS unit. The point is I wanted something superior to old out of date paper maps and instead of that got “new” electronic maps that are worthless.

So far seems to be OK. It holds my Garmin fine and it has not lost its traction or its load. It is a little bulkier that I thought it was going to be and that is the only reason for 4 out of 5 stars.

So I just got done using the Swami for a quick 9 hole run, because I was anxious to see how it would perform.
Upon completion of the round I am happy to say that I am VERY pleased. Not only did the Swami do as advertised,
I was able to shoot one of my lowest scores of the season so far with it. The yardages it gives are very accurate
and the best part in my opinion is that it doesn’t take a huge amount of time to “settle” down when you get to your
ball to acquire a yardage, which helps with your pace of play. (Unlike the skycaddie which takes a fair amount of time to “settle” on a yardage.)
The $35 activation fee is definitely reasonable in my opinion as well, because it’s really only a one-time fee if you choose. You
can download 10 courses that you play on a regular basis and then that’s really all you need, unless you travel a lot.
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this GPS to both amateurs and scratch golfers alike. It’s probably the BEST GPS for the money on the market right now.

I had a Garmin GPS map60 before and was always losing signal in tree cover. Haven’t had that problem since I got the 60 CSx. Most of the features are the same exept for the compass and the altimeter. Color is nice also. Worth the extra money.
